GENTRY -- Gentry Middle School students Jackson McAfee, Andrew Reynoso and Jonathan Brinkley qualified for the Northwest Arkansas junior high all-region choir in tryouts on Oct. 18.

The three Gentry students tried out with the tenor 2 part of their four audition pieces at Bentonville High School. There were 720 students trying out that day.

The three Gentry students will represent Gentry and Northwest Arkansas at the all-region choir clinic on Nov. 1 and will present a concert at 4 p.m. at the Springdale Performing Arts Center. The choir will be singing under the direction of guest conductors Matt Foy and Randy Tally. The concert is free to the public.

"These three young men are outstanding students and have worked hard to gain this honor," said Trella Yates, choir director for the Gentry Middle and High Schools. "I'm very proud of them and excited for them to get to attend the clinic," she said.
