SOUTHWEST CITY (Mo.) -- Right Choices Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch, LLC, in Southwest City, Mo., is preparing for its ninth season and will open this weekend.

Activities at Right Choices Corn Maze include an 8-acre corn maze, hay rides along the Elk River, cow train rides, the corn jump and target practice with corn cannons. Visitors can toast marshmallows, take pony rides, view an antique tractor show and listen to Christian music concerts.

Kids can also get a free dental check by ACHE Dental. The pumpkin house has plenty of pumpkins and crafts for purchase. Visitors during the first two weekends of the season -- Sept. 20 and 21 and Sept. 27 and 28 -- will be able to take part in Right Choices's half-price all-activity admission.

The maze design changes each year to reflect a different right choice emphasized in the book, Make Right Choices, written by maze owner Galen Manning. This year's emphasis is on choosing to be successful and the hard work that requires. This year's maze design is a John Deere tractor, made by a company which exemplifies hard working farmers.

Right Choices Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch will be open from Sept. 20 through Nov. 2, on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 12 noon to 8 p.m.

Right Choices is located one mile east of junction 0 and 43, north of Southwest City. Directions, a calendar of special events and admission cost can be found at www.rightchoicescornmaze.com or by calling (417) 762-3695.
