Mindy Renee Patton and Justin Lee Hunthrop of Bonner Springs, Kan., plan to marry on Oct. 4, 2014, at the Mildred B. Cooper Chapel in Bella Vista.
The bride is the daughter of Tammy and Bill Patton of Decatur. She is the granddaughter of Carol Hoggatt of Gentry, the late Archie Evans and the late Raymond Hoggatt, Bob Patton of Decatur, and the late Glenda Patton. She is a 2003 graduate of Decatur High School and graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a bachelor's degree in marketing management and a master's degree in college student personnel. She is an academic advisor at the University of Kansas.
The groom is the son of Renee and Greg Hunthrop of Woodland. He is the grandson of Ruth and Quinton Culliford, the late Paul and Tommie Hunthrop. Justin is a 2004 graduate of Woodlawn High School and graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a bachelor's degree in information technology and is the principal IT consultant of cloud services at EMC Corporation.
