Highfill EH Club News

The Highfill Extension Homemakers' Club, led by President Peggy Dillahunty, met March 16 at the Gentry Library. The members reported their hours of various community service. Several are making tote bags for the Children's Shelter in Vaughn.

The lesson, "Prescriptions -- Know What You Are Taking," was given very ably by Emily Smith from Smith Drugstore in Gentry. All appreciated her taking time to be with us. Diane Miller demonstrated the work of her Scan N Cut machine for making quilt pieces. Amy Dapp and Kristi Hudson were asked to serve on the Membership Committee for Benton County. It was decided to make some nursing covers for WIC. The club appointed new leadership for the upcoming year, beginning July 1.

The April meeting will be at the Children's Shelter in Vaughn at 10 a.m. on April 20. Members were reminded to make and bring tote bags for the shelter's use. New attendees and members are welcome.
