Gentry soccer teams pick up wins

On Monday, they beat Eureka Springs, 7-0, with goals scored by Amber Ellis, Haley Borgeteien-James, Brieann Ward and Rachel Williams. The girls are 3-3-1 for the year and 3-0 in conference. Gentry boys picked up their first conference win March 31 against Bergman. Braxton Gunneman scored two goals and Kevin Ochoa scored one. The final was 3-0. “It was a very good team win and I was very proud of the way the boys played last Tuesday,” said boys’ coach Jason Parton. “Going from a winless season to finally getting that win was a very happy moment for the entire team.”
