GENTRY -- Tired Iron of the Ozarks will host its 23rd annual Spring Crank Up at its show grounds on Friday, April 17, through Sunday, April 19.

Events include fully operational saw mills, a blacksmith shop with working blacksmiths, a parade of power at noon, antique engines and tractors, antique tools and farm equipment, a furnished log cabin, a building full of home antiques and much more.

The featured tractor and engine at this spring's show will be International.

Each year, in the spring and the fall, the club hosts shows at its grounds, located at 13344 Taylor Orchard Road in Gentry, to demonstrate members' old engines, tractors and farm equipment and to educate younger generations about rural farm life in the early 20th and late 19th centuries.

Visitors can expect to see demonstrations of farm equipment and tractors, cutting of logs down to finished lumber at the saw mills, the making of tools and instruments in the blacksmith shop and a host of other machines, tools and engines at work.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Admission and parking are free. Food and refreshments are available.

More information is available by contacting Jack Hutcheson, club president, at 479-787-6982 or [email protected].
