GENTRY -- "Radio Suspense Theatre," Gentry High School's 2015 spring play, will begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, in the high school auditorium.
"This is the most elaborate and unique show we've ever done," said Darren Ward, drama teacher and director of the production. "We tried to create a show that would appeal to all people, young and old, and with 'Radio Suspense Theatre' by Steve Cleberg being a period play, I think we achieved that."
"We are using live music in our show for the first time," Ward said, "and the costumes are authentic from the '40s era, so this truly has the feel of a big-time production."
The cast and crew is inviting the public to come out and take a trip back in time. Admission is $4 for adults and $2 for students with identification.
"The songs and performances from our students this year are amazing," Ward said, "and we have a few surprises thrown in as well. I hope everyone in the community can come out and give us a full house on Thursday night. I know they won't want to miss it!"
