We have sure had summer weather lately. Rain was in the forecast last week but we got very little. I sure hope it doesn't stop completely. After all, it is August.
My sister, Frances Sims, and sister-in-law, Janos Vandiver, of Bentonville, came and got me last Wednesday and we visited our sister, Marie Crawford, and her husband in Gentry. After leaving there, we went out to eat and then did a little shopping. It was an enjoyable day.
Clifton Tucker of Bella Vista visited me a short while one day last week. I always have an errand or two for him to do for me. He doesn't mind.
Patti King of Lowell visited her parents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, last Monday. She spent the night with them. They enjoyed that.
Gwen Singleton visited me a couple of afternoons recently. We were getting some E.H. club business taken care of. Gwen is taking my job as secretary and treasurer. She will do a great job.
This Saturday is Gravette Day. There are always several class reunions and lots of people who just come to visit with friends and relatives. They will have a good parade at 12 noon, followed by several activities at the park. Go and enjoy the day.
Carroll Tucker and Pam visited Jack and Sylvia Tucker one day last week.
Jack and Sylvia Tucker attended a retirement party for Debbie Sims last Friday evening. Several people attended the party.
A large crowd attended funeral services at Maysville Bible Church for Jerry Bob Pritchard last Monday afternoon. Burial followed in Lee Cemetery. Sympathy is extended to the family.
This Sunday, Aug. 9, is the Tucker family reunion at the Maysville Community Building. Friends are always welcome. Lunch is at 1 p.m.
Sammi Story and children, Chloe and Miles of Houston, Texas, visited their grandparents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, on Wednesday. They spent the night and went to visit her brother, Justin Sappington, and family.
Eva Rea Fincher of Tulsa, Okla., visited her mother, Orpha Wardlaw, the first of last week and attended funeral services for Jerry Bob Pritchard.
