Main Street Decatur was complete with Christmas lights. Sidewalks were lined with people ready to watch the annual Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade, complete with Santa Claus.
At Christmas we give and receive gifts and the parade night was no exception. The town was alive with excitement as we received the gift of love and appreciation for one another. I found personal gratitude as I saw smiles and waves during the parade.
What a great evening! Thank you to everyone who came and participated in the parade!
During this time of year, please pause a little more often, showing respect and kindness to your neighbors and family. It is during this season that we make a difference to those who mean the most to us.
We all are blessed to call Decatur home, and what a great place to live and work!
It is my pleasure to serve you as mayor of Decatur.
