GENTRY -- It was anybody's game until the final buzzer on Friday night in Gentry.
In the final seconds, Gentry had the ball and trailed Prairie Grove, 54-51. Gentry took a three-point shot in an attempt to put the game into overtime, but the ball bounced off the rim and there was no time left.
Blake Boyd led the Pioneers in points, with 12. Brent Barker had 11, and Matt Juillerat and Cole Cripps each had 10 in the game.
The Lady Pioneers fell too, but it wasn't close. The Gentry girls were attempting to catch up to the visiting Lady Tigers from Prairie Grove all night but they couldn't get it done. They fell, 48-24, in the Friday night game.
Haley Borgeteien-James led the Lady Pioneers in scoring with 10. Mallory Morris had eight and Rachel Lawrence had six.

The Lions also fell Friday night, at Huntsville, 66-45. Jackson Soule led the Lions in scoring with 12. Cole Turner had 11.

The Lady Lions lost Friday's game, 60-23.
