Maysville News

We had some more warm days but sure had a change Sunday night. We got a mixture of sleet and snow and several closings resulted from the bad weather.

Gwen Singleton came by to see me for a short visit one day this week. She brought me some club things but we didn't get to visit.

The date was given wrong last week. The date of the Maysville E.H. Club spring fundraiser is April 11. It is a spaghetti dinner, and we are also selling raffle tickets for a gas grill. The drawing will be held the night of the dinner. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Proceeds go for the upkeep of the community building.

Patti King and Petru of Lowell visited Jack and Sylvia Tucker last Saturday. They spent the night and returned home on Sunday.

My nephew and wife, Jimmy and Judy Vandiver of Broken Arrow, Okla., came by to visit me. I was gone so they left a note and said they would return and visit soon. They went on to visit my sister, Frances Sims, in Bentonville.
