FBLA students qualify for state

GENTRY -- FBLA students at Gentry High School qualified for the state FBLA competition at the district competition on Feb. 3.

Lauren Little won first place in business communications, and Holyn Fredrick, in job interview.

Second place winners included Mai See Lee and Derek Wood, desktop publishing; and Lacy Verlod, computer problem solving.

Third place winner was Destiny Bolles in business math.

Fourth place winners included Mirna Ruzek, economics; Samantha Bailey, business calculations; Karah Loughery, introduction to business; Mallory Morris, public speaking II; Derek German, Kyle Killgore and Austin Brigance, business presentation.

Catilyn Cox took fifth in business procedures, and Michael Lee took sixth in FBLA principles and procedures.

The GHS FBLA chapter also received third place in the largest chapter competition and fourth place in the largest chapter marketshare.

Students will advance to state competition on April 13-14 in Little Rock.
