We have had a lot of cloudy, gloomy weather lately, but Christmas Day was a beautiful day for family gatherings.

We had a nice Christmas Day here at my house. There were 16 of us. Different ones brought food and others did food for me. Byron Warren cooked our turkey. I had been in the hospital for five days but I got to be home in time to enjoy Christmas with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pete Ballmann and son Cole of Michigan have been here visiting Marvin and Bert Ballmann and they stayed for Christmas. They left for home on Saturday morning.

Several family members gathered in the home of Marvin and Bert Ballmann for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Helen Chism and grandson Billy Cook spent Christmas dinner with Matt and Karla Ballmann and Jack. They came to my house in the afternoon to see everybody.

Those going to Les and Jean Martindale's on Christmas Eve to exchange gifts were Jack and Sylvia Tucker, Carroll Tucker and Pam. They report an enjoyable evening.

Orpha Wardlaw spent Christmas in Ponca City, Okla., in the home of her daughter, Ellen and Steve Harris, and other family members. They also had a good Christmas.

Jacob and Shelli Bishop visited their grandparents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, on Saturday and took them four ricks of wood for Christmas -- a good present. Sylvia had made chili, so they stayed and ate chili with them.

Those gathering in the home of Jack and Sylvia Tucker on Christmas Day were Patti King and Petru of Lowell, Carroll Tucker and Pam, Leon Tucker, Les and Jean Martindale. They report a good time together. Of course, there was plenty of food.

Gerald Tucker of Gentry visited me on Christmas Eve. I sure did enjoy him coming by. We had a good visit.

We had a cold morning Sunday, then snow but it didn't last long. Now the sun is shining which is nice.

Carroll Tucker and Pam visited Jack and Sylvia Tucker one afternoon last week and ate supper with them.

My visitors New Year's Day were Steve Tucker of Bella Vista, Seth and Melody Tucker and children Judah and Mercy of Harrison. Sylvia Tucker came to visit in the afternoon. We all had a good visit. It was the first time I had seen my Harrison family for a while. Susan and Sheldon didn't get to come with them. They had to stay home and get ready for more company.

Carmu Tucker visited me a couple of days before Christmas on her way home from work. She brought me a jar of honey from her nephew, Wayne Tucker, for Christmas. Thanks, Wayne, I'm enjoying it.

Patti King and Petru of Lowell visited Jack and Sylvia Tucker last Friday and Saturday and spent both nights with them.
