Joy and I want to wish everyone a happy and prosperous new year! We are looking forward to serving our community and hopefully a resolution to become more active in your town, for 2015, was a part of your New Year's celebration.
The month of January is being highlighted this year as "Chamber of Commerce Month." During January we want to encourage members to update their information and also remind locals to join the Chamber.
The Chamber meets the first Monday of every month at 5:30 p.m. at The Gallery Café. They plan local events like our annual BBQ, Christmas Parade, Easter Egg Hunt and much more.
On Jan. 7 of this year, Walmart Neighborhood Market celebrated its grand opening. Please join me in welcoming them to our town.
One of the things the city is working toward is allowing electronic payment of our water bills, and we have recently purchased a snow blade for the city's equipment to aid in snow removal.
Watch for announcements about an upcoming "Town Hall" meeting that we are planning for the near future.
