Gravette seniors who lunch at the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity and Wellness Center enjoyed an ugly sweater contest the day of their annual Christmas dinner. Connie Adams, of Gravette, who was chosen the winner of the contest, is shown here with her prize, left, and her very unique bracelet, right. She had to remove her sweater before she ate lunch to keep Santa's beard from falling onto her tray.

Melissa Steele, program assistant at Billy V. Hall Senior Activity and Wellness Center, and Mary Kay Kelley, Center director, showed up dressed in their festive finery for the Center's Christmas dinner Dec. 18. Of course, they were wearing their usual cheery smiles; but their seasonal sweaters also drew a lot of attention and everyone was asking where Melissa found those unusual earrings.

There were so many clever sweaters entered in the ugly sweater contest at Billy V. Hall Senior Activity and Wellness Center this year that judges had a hard time deciding who should receive the prizes. Pictured here are third place winner Juanita Whiteside, left, dressed as a gaily wrapped package, and second place winner Lois Phippen, right. Lois found the perfect items to accessorize her sweater when she saw the colorful garland and set of holiday cookie cutters at Care and Share.

Jolly old Santa Claus himself dropped by the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity and Wellness Center at lunchtime on Friday, Dec. 19, for a visit with those dining there. Here he poses beside the Center's colorfully decorated tree and offers a friendly wave to all who pass by. A few days later he was busy hitching his reindeer to the sleigh for his annual trip around the globe, delivering cheer to boys and girls everywhere.
