Payne family Christmas celebration

The Payne Gang got together on Saturday, Jan. 3, for our Christmas get-together. We were a little late but were a whole lot jolly. Our "crock pot" dinner was a hit again, as were the fun and "gift stealing" of "Dirty Santa."

We had a baby shower for our newest member, Benjamin Payne. His folks, Cody and Hailey, were there, of course, and grandpa John Payne, all of Decatur, and great-grands Delbert Payne and Jo Jackson of Gentry.

Lyndsy Garrett and children Kylee and Noah from Decatur also were present.

Those attending from Gravette were Bill and Clara Payne, Sue Rice, Lanny and Snooky Garrett, Chuck and Lisa Garrett, Jeff and Lana Turner, Leif and Amy Garrett, Jarod and Lacey Morgan and children Katelyn and Wyatt and Lin Beeler.

Mandy Beth Payne and Kenya Payne attended from Fayetteville and the Bowen family, Brian and Cheryl with sons Hogan and Hayden, came from Springdale.

Family members from Bentonville were Don and Nancy Payne, Donnie and Marilyn Payne and daughters Emily and Sophie, Randy and Tina Boling, Allie Boling, Christopher Boling, Kaylin Brounard, Debbie Buckner and Steve Payne.

Doug Payne was home from school in Tulsa, Okla., for the weekend. Others attending from Oklahoma were Rick and Janet Payne, Candy Williams and daughter Rebecka, Wendy Front and son Stefen and Debra Walker from Vinita, Okla., Vinnie and Christine Audo of Lawton, Okla.

Paula Nicholson, James Nicholson and Natilie Southall came from Kansas City, Mo. Hal and Patti Cummins from Coppell, Texas, and Bob and Bobbie Wineberg of Lake City, Fla., were our long-distance travelers.

As always, the memories and stories of those who could not be with us keep them in our hearts.
