Maysville News

Sunday was a rather gloomy day but we had no rain. Maybe we will have some sunshine this week and we can get our lawns mowed.

Shelli Bishop visited her grandparents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, on Saturday. She gave her grandma a haircut and then they visited.

Family members who came in on Saturday afternoon to attend the Booth Brothers concert were my brother Jim Vandiver and friend Darlene of Broken Arrow, Okla., my sister Frances Sims and niece Anita Townzen of Bentonville, Steve and Susan Tucker of Bella Vista and Sylvia Tucker of Maysville. The concert was really good. We went out to eat afterward.

My granddaughter, Tracy Warren, visited me Sunday afternoon. We had a good visit. I always enjoy her coming over.

Patti King and Petru of Lowell and Carroll Tucker and Pam visited Jack and Sylvia Tucker Sunday. Sylvia cooked Patti's birthday dinner. Happy birthday, Patti. Hope you have many more.

Orpha Wardlaw went to Tulsa for a couple of days last week to visit her daughter and family, Steve and Eva Rea Fincher and children, Selena and Zack.

The community yard sale at the community building on Saturday was a success. We had several booths and a food stand. Lots of people came in and out and everyone seemed to be pleased.

Remember, this Saturday, June 6, is Maysville Day with lots of activities. Starting early in the morning there will be a pancake breakfast at the community building. That is a booth the Maysville E.H. Club has and I'm thinking they start at 7 a.m. The parade is at 11 a.m. Come out, enjoy the day and visit with friends.
