American Legion Post 29 and the American Legion Auxiliary sent a record number of students from Siloam Springs and Gentry to Boys' State and Girls' State this year, according to judge advocate J.W. Smith. The high school juniors learned government by creating a mythical state through the election of public officials on local, county and state levels and then by carrying out the duties of these respective offices. Pictured above are Boys' State attendees David Kay (of Gentry) (left), John Heinrich, Hayden Smith, Kyle Snavely, Coby Roach, Kyle Comiskey, Legion judge advocate J.W.
