School survey deadline is tomorrow

GENTRY -- A new survey, which can be completed online or by filling out the card sent to all mailing addresses within the Gentry School District, to guide the school board in making decisions regarding future building projects for the school district is due tomorrow.

The new survey removed the options receiving the least support in the last survey and seeks to further narrow choices for the school board so it can make a decision which reflects the wishes of school district patrons.

The survey is available online at the Gentry School District's new Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/gentrypublicschools and can be reached via the school district website.

Following is a reprinting of the survey and questions.

"The Gentry School Board has recognized that the Intermediate School Facilities need to be improved. This survey is the third step of their efforts to garner opinions from the citizens of the district on how best to do that. Previously, the Board has held a public forum and has had an on-line survey. At the end of these two means, the Board did not believe it had sufficient information to make an informed decision. The Board desired that every citizen would have had a reasonable opportunity to be part of the decision-making process. They directed the school officials to devise a third way to do that -- this online survey and a postage "postage paid" survey mailed to residents of the Gentry Public School District.

Please complete this online version or return the postal mail survey ASAP but no later than June 18, 2015.

The Gentry School Board and school officials thank you in advance for participating in this important matter."

The survey questions are included below:
