Maysville News

We are having nice weather now, sunshine and even some rain showers in between. I guess the farmers are glad to have both the rain and sunshine on their hay fields. It's about hay cutting time.

These news items are for a two week period.

Sammie Story and children Chloe and Miles of Houston, Texas, visited their grandparents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, one day last week. They enjoyed that visit very much.

Clifton Tucker visited me one day last week. It seems like I've always got some errands for him to do but he doesn't mind and we visit a while also.

My brother, Jim Vandiver, of Broken Arrow, Okla., came after me Wednesday of last week to go to Elm Springs for the funeral and burial of our nephew, Bobby Vandiver of Bentonville. After the services, 15 of us went to Cracker Barrel in Springdale to eat before some had to leave to go to their home in Florida.

My great-grandson, Jacob Ballman, spent Saturday afternoon with me. We did some yard work and I sure did enjoy him coming over to help me.

Carroll Tucker and Pam visited Jack and Sylvia Tucker one day last week.

Ten E.H. Club members attended spring council at Cave Springs on Friday for all the county clubs. Those attending from Maysville were Orpha Wardlaw, Bert Ballman, Sylvia Tucker, Nikki Crawley, Jewel Crawley, Melinda Crawley, Katherine Tucker and three visitors. There was a good program and plenty of good food for the lunch.
