GENTRY -- Donovan Mays, coordinator of technology support for the Arkansas State Library, will be at the Gentry Public Library on May 19, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. presenting a program called, "Tech Petting Zoo," for staff and patrons.
Mays will bring a variety of devices (tablets, E-readers, Chromebooks and the like) and explain how to get ebooks onto them, as well as assist with any devices brought in by patrons or staff.
The presentation is provided in order to acclimate staff to some of the devices their patrons may bring in and to assist patrons with the confusion caused by devices with scant or confusing instructions. Handouts for working with Overdrive, Freading, or other ebooks suppliers will be available upon request.
