GENTRY -- On May 14, 17 selected Gentry Middle School students attended a Mi Futuro Graduation with Walmart Print Solutions in Bentonville.

Mi Futuro is a youth mentoring program for eighth-grade students which builds partnerships between Walmart associates and students. The program's mission is to motivate, engage and empower eighth-grade students to improve the next generation. The program included visits to the Gentry Middle School for monthly curriculum activities to inspire students.

On May 14, students received graduation certificates, T-shirts, back packs with school supplies, lunch and a tour of Print Solutions. Students were able to see their mentors' work environment.

During their April session, the students wrote an Essay titled, "My Promise to Myself." Associates at Print Solutions then read all the essays and chose one as a winner.

Makenna Fletcher's essay was chosen and she won a Dell Laptop Computer.
