Renaissance Festival

Gravette Public Library will host its 2015 Renaissance festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday in Old Town Park. Festival attendees will be treated to a variety of attractions, with a small admission fee of only $1 per person. All guests are encouraged to wear period dress but costumes are not required. Festival guests will walk across the drawbridge and through a castle backdrop painted by the Gravette High School art classes. Once in the lower area of Old Town Park, they will be able to visit many booths offering food, fun and entertainment. Several food vendors will be on hand, as well as booths offering many crafts, including stained glass, leather items and jewelry. Children will be able to participate in jousting tournaments using pool noodles and can have their faces painted. A roving storyteller will be spinning his tales of early-day life. Gentry AG Revival

Gentry First Assembly of God is hosting "Refuel Student Revival" Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 9 to 11, 7 to 8:30 nightly. Monday night's guest speaker will be Jacob Roach; Tuesday night will be Dennis Thrasher; and Wednesday night will be Jenifer Smith. Trinity Fellowship Assembly of God from Fayetteville will be leading worship each night. There will be special music, human videos, games, prizes and giveaways, awesome worship and a powerful time in God's presence. All high school- and college-age students are invited to attend. The church is located at 821 East Main Street, just east of Dollar General in Gentry.

AG Yard Sale

The women's ministry of the Gravette First Assembly of God Church will hold a yard-sale fundraiser Nov. 5 through Nov. 7 at the church, one mile west of town on Arkansas Hwy. 72 (if not raining). Hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Proceeds will benefit senior shut-ins, prison ministry, retired minister fund and other church projects.

Prom Fundraiser

A Gentry Junior-Senior Prom Rummage Sale and Fundraiser is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 6 and 7 at the Gentry Masonic Lodge, 1469 S. Gentry Blvd., Gentry. The funds raised will be used to purchase door prizes and college items for the prom breakfast. There will be a variety, with lots of items donated.

Pioneer Booster

Club Fundraiser

Gentry Pioneer Booster Club will hold a chili cook off and corn-hole tournament as a fundraiser on Sunday, Nov. 8, from 1 to 4 p.m., in the Gentry High School parking lot. Children and adults are invited to participate. Entries for the chili cook off can be groups of four, and the entry cost is $10 per group or sports team. Entries are invited from all of Gentry's sport teams. Members of the winning group or team will each receive an embroidered apron. The entries for the corn-hole tournament are two people to a team and there will be a $10 entry fee for each team. For more information, call Natasha Jennen 479-233-1442.

Pie Auction

The Falling Springs Church annual pie auction and cake walk will be at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7. The money raised will be used for the church Christmas program and Christmas baskets and for other needs in the community. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy the fellowship and fun.

Thanksgiving Lunch

Gravette Middle School will host a Thanksgiving lunch on Tuesday, Nov. 24. Students are encouraged to invite their parents and grandparents. To attend, guests will need to RSVP the GMS office by Nov. 13 so the cafeteria can prepare enough meals for the special event. Lunch times are 11:20 a.m. and 12:10 p.m.

Gentry Thnaksgiving Dinner

The Gentry Community Thanksgiving Service will be held at the Springtown Pentecostal Church on Sunday, Nov. 22, at 6 p.m. Pastor Mark Rotramel invites everyone in the area to attend. Please bring finger foods to share for the fellowship after the service.

Thanksgiving Dinner

The Maysville Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held on Nov. 21 at the community building. Bring the food of your choice and the Maysville E.H. Club club will furnish turkey and dressing, ham, drinks and bread.

Maysville Food Pantry

CARE Satellite Pantry, in partnership with the Maysville Bible Church, is operating a food pantry at the church on the first Saturday of each month. Food is available for those in Benton County, Delaware County, Okla., and McDonald County, Mo. The next free food giveaway will be from 9 a.m. to noon on Nov. 7, at the church on Highway 72 east of the four way stop. Applicants must present ID, Social Security number, address and number of people in the home. Food boxes contain canned vegetables, pasta, cereal, rice, spices, health and beauty aids. Highfill Food Pantry

The Highfill United Methodist food pantry will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month. For more information, call the church at 479-736-1275.

Lions Club

Gravette Lions Club meets at noon on the first and the third Tuesday of every month at the In-Zone Restaurant on Arkansas Hwy. 59 N. in Gravette. The Gentry Lions Club meets at 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Monday of the month at the McKee Community Room in Gentry Public Library. New members are welcome and invited.

Gravette Kiwanis

The Gravette Kiwanis Club holds breakfast meetings at 7 a.m. each Friday at the cafeteria in Ozarks Community Hospital. Guests are welcome.

Gravette Legion

Gravette American Legion Post 25 meets at 7 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month at the Civic Center. All veterans are encouraged to attend.

Singing Services

Monthly singing services at Mason Valley Baptist Church Activity Center are held at 7 p.m. the second Friday of each month. The church is located on Arkansas Hwy. 12, between Highfill and Vaughn. Everyone is invited.

Decatur VFW Meetings

VFW Post 9834 meets at 7:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month. New members and guests are welcome.
