DECATUR -- With the end of football season comes the start of the 2015-16 Decatur Bulldog basketball season.
The senior boys will have a different look this season, with the graduation of the Urquidi brothers last May. But it promises to be just as exciting as that of last year.
The Lady Bulldog junior and senior varsity, as well as the junior high teams, began their season Nov. 9 when they traveled east to participate in the Green Forest Tournament. Jeff Melton, who replaces retired coach Bill Niven, takes over at the helm as head coach of the girls' basketball programs.
The junior and senior varsity boys, as well as the seventh-grade team, will kick off their season at home when they play the West Fork Tigers, beginning at 5 p.m. in Peterson Gym.
