Saunders resigning as Chamber director Board positions open

GENTRY -- A number of board positions are open on the Gentry Chamber of Commerce board and those interested in serving are being asked to contact Bev Saunders, executive director of the the Gentry chamber.

Saunders has also announced her resignation as chamber director after diligently serving in that capacity for many years.

In an email sent to chamber members, Saunders wrote: "I also want to let everyone know I am resigning Dec. 31, 2015. It has been a pleasure working with and for you the past almost 10 years."

Saunders told the Eagle Observer, "Al and I are going to pursue some other agriculture business interests, plus we're going to spend more time together and with our kids and grandkids."

"Gentry is a great town and I've enjoyed working with the folks of Gentry and the Gentry City Council and elected officials," Saunders said. "It's been a pleasure to work in a town that believes in God, country and family."
