GENTRY -- A stamp-design contest was held at Gentry Middle School as a way for students to honor veterans for their military service to their country. The designs were based on the theme: "How we can show respect to a veteran?"

Joey Fowler, Gentry Alumni and a member of the U.S. Army, came and judged the stamp designs. He also led the middle school in saying the Pledge of Allegiance.

Students in the winning class, that of Courtney Millsap, were Melonie Yang, Sadie Reece, Arora Savage, Holden Wills, Wyatt Craighead, Shawna Moua, Cerese Lor, Sean Lo, Sadie Potts, Victoria Barnes, Joshua Harris, Kaliey Sutherland, Ethan Xiong, Jamay Sanderson, Madison Boyd, Carissa Goessens, Ariel Nix, Ahrya Reding, Donavan Hokanson, Raegan Edmondson and Jaden Lothes​​.

Second place went to Tonya Sweeten's class and third place, to Sammie Cunningham's class.
