Lions make quick work of Bobcats

GRAVETTE -- The Lions made quick work of the visiting Berryville Bobcats for Gravette's homecoming fans, scoring three touchdowns and three points after in both the first and second quarters, ending the half at 42-0.

Berryville managed a touchdown in the third and fourth quarters against the Lions' second string, making the final, 42-12, in favor of Gravette.

Brady Rolsma, a senior, scored twice in the game, with other TDs scored by seniors Bryce Moorman, Jackson Soule', Jace Russ and Layne Martinez. Chris Childress, a Gravette sophomore, kicked six for six through the posts for another six Lion points.

Jordan Burnett, Gravette senior, led again in rushing yards with 122. Bryce Moorman put the ball in the air for 175 passing yards against Berryville. Bailey Soule', a sophomore, was credited with five solo tackles and two assists. Dylan Gruver and Brandon Ballard each picked off a Berryville pass, with Gruver picking up 32 yards on an interception.

The big win on Friday puts the Gravette Lions at 3-1 in conference and 5-2 overall. The Lions are scheduled to play at Huntsville on Friday.
