We got a little rain on Friday evening. It sure didn't last long. Maybe we will get more soon.

Patti King, of Lowell, visited her parents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, Sunday. They enjoyed the time together. Then she went to visit Ron and Debbie Sims before going home on Sunday afternoon.

The Maysville Bible Church held an appreciation dinner for the Maysville Fire Department on Saturday. It was catered by Harps and there was plenty of good food. Others brought desserts. It was an enjoyable evening to show our firefighters how much we appreciate them.

My great-grandson, Billy Cook, spent the afternoon with me on Saturday. I really did enjoy his company.

My son Clifton Tucker, of Bella Vista, visited me for a short time one day last week. I always enjoy his coming by even if it is brief.

The Maysville E.H. Club is making plans for the community Thanksgiving dinner it hosts each year to show appreciation for the support that the club is given. The dinner will be Nov. 14. Bring the food of your choice and the club will furnish turkey and dressing, ham, drinks and bread.
