Fall Round-Up

The annual Fall Round-Up, sponsored by the Springtown Seventh-day Adventist Church, will be held Oct. 1-3 and feature one of America's oldest gospel quartets and first-person dramatizations of Jesus' miracles. Dick Stenbakken will present first-person narratives depicting miracles of Jesus. Stenbakken will transform himself into the leper, blind man and others healed and touched by Jesus. The King's Heralds, in existence since 1927, the oldest continuous gospel quartet in America, will sing during Friday and Saturday Fall Round-Up meetings. The group will have a full concert on Saturday at 3 p.m. Fall Round-Up meetings will be held Thursday and Friday evenings, Oct. 1 and 2, at 7 p.m. Meetings and activities will take place all day Saturday, Oct. 3. Saturday highlights include a 10:45 a.m. worship service, 3 p.m. concert by The Kings Heralds, and a 6:30 p.m. meeting. Singspiration Service

The Pioneer Church of God (Holiness) will be holding a special "Singspiration" service on Sunday, Sept. 20, at 11 a.m. This will be a special time of musical worship and praise. Fellow Christians are invited to bring a song, reading or poem to share. The church is located just north of the Gentry police station, at 104 North Collins. Octoberfest Pageants

The Miss Octoberfest Pageants will be held Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Gentry High School auditorium. This pageant is open to any and all participants from 0 months to 18 years of age, including divisions for boys from 0 months to 6 years of age. The 13-15 and 16-18 age divisions will have interviews beginning at 1 p.m. and compete in fitness and formal wear. Quilting Class

A class for area quilters and crafters will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Church of Christ annex, 202 Irving St., S.W., in Gravette. Instruction will be given on a quilt block and a "show and tell" session will be held. Please bring finished projects or works in progress and a snack to share.

Gentry Homecoming

Homecoming Week at Gentry High School is Sept. 28 through Oct. 2. Events will include a powder puff football game at 1 p.m. on Wednesday; a homecoming pep rally at 1:30 p.m. on Friday in Pioneer Stadium; a parade at 1 p.m. on Friday, with lineup at 12:30 at the high school -- the parade will end on Main Street. Homecoming night, Friday, Oct. 2, begins with the crowning of the king and queen at 6:30 p.m. Game time against Berryville is 7 p.m.

Emerson Electric Reunion

NAGS to meet

The Northwest Arkansas Genealogical Society will meet at 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, at the Bentonville Public Library, 405 S. Main. The program will be on DNA and will be presented by Diane Giannini, a professional genealogist certified by the Board for Certification of Genealogists and owner of Ancestry Sleuths, a genealogical research firm in Bentonville. Maysville Food Pantry

CARE Satellite Pantry, in partnership with the Maysville Bible Church, is operating a food pantry at the church on the first Saturday of each month. Food is available for those in Benton County, Delaware County, Okla., and McDonald County, Mo. The next free food giveaway will be from 9 a.m. to noon on Oct. 3, at the church on Highway 72 east of the four way stop. Food boxes contain canned vegetables, pasta, cereal, rice, spices, health and beauty aids. Future food pantry dates will be on Nov. 7 and Dec. 5. OCH Open House

Ozarks Community Hospital in Gravette, will host an open house from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, to celebrate expanded services and new state-of-the-art equipment. Tours will be given of the hospital, including the new, updated radiology equipment, the remodeled therapy department, the intensive outpatient program called "Living Well Holistic Center" and the rest of the hospital grounds. Light Up the Night

Ozarks Community Hospital will host an inaugural lantern launch, "Light Up the Night to End Alzheimer's," at 7:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, for all impacted by Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias. All lanterns are eco friendly, wire free and fire resistant. Pre-order lanterns now for $5 each or $10 the day of the event. Contact Susie Davis at 479-344-6715 or by email at [email protected]. All proceeds will benefit Alzheimer's Awareness. The event will follow the OCH open house.

Pickin' Time on 59

Pickin' Time on 59 will be held Oct. 8-10. The event will feature yard sales, collectibles and antiques and extend from the airport in Siloam Springs through Gentry, Decatur, Gravette, Sulphur Springs and to the Missouri-Arkansas line. All residents and businesses are encouraged to set up booths, sales, activities and events. Highfill Food Pantry

The Highfill United Methodist food pantry will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month. For more information, call the church at 479-736-1275.

Farmers' Market

The Gravette Farmers' Market is open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Old Town Park, 110 Park Drive, in Gravette. It features locally-grown produce, flowers, meats and more.

Gentry Farmers' Market

Gentry's farmers' market is held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Main Street Pavilion located next door to the Chicken Coop flea market, at 500 E. Main Street, Gentry. For more information on the market, call 479-871-1052. Farmers may register for space and sell there on those days without charge.

Lions Club

Gravette Lions Club meets at noon on the first and the third Tuesday of every month at the In-Zone Restaurant on Arkansas Hwy. 59 N. in Gravette. The Gentry Lions Club meets at 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Monday of the month at the McKee Community Room in Gentry Public Library. New members are welcome and invited.

Gravette Kiwanis

The Gravette Kiwanis Club holds breakfast meetings at 7 a.m. each Friday at the cafeteria in Ozarks Community Hospital. Guests are welcome.

Gravette Legion

Gravette American Legion Post 25 meets at 7 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month at the Civic Center. All veterans are encouraged to attend.

Singing Services

Monthly singing services at Mason Valley Baptist Church Activity Center are held at 7 p.m. the second Friday of each month. The church is located on Arkansas Hwy. 12, between Highfill and Vaughn. Everyone is invited.

Decatur VFW Meetings

VFW Post 9834 meets at 7:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month. New members and guests are welcome.
