Maysville News

Sunday was a nice day, seemed sorta like fall. I think we have rain in the forecast and, as always, it's needed.

The Vandiver and Morris family reunion was held Sunday at the Maysville community building. We had cousins attending from Florida, Colorado, California and Oklahoma and a good crowd from the surrounding area. We had a lot of good food, picture taking and, of course, visiting.

Carroll Tucker and Pam visited Jack and Sylvia Tucker one day this past week.

Fifteen Maysville E.H. Club members took advantage of our free day in August. We treated ourselves and went out to eat, then visited the Southwest City library. We all enjoyed the time out.

Patti King of Lowell visited her parents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, one day last week and spent the night with them. They always like that.

Patti King planned a celebration last week for her parents' 63rd wedding anniverary. She had it at her home. Several from the area attended, including Les and Jean Martindale, Carroll Tucker and Pam, Ron and Debbie Sims, also several from Lowell and Fayetteville. They report a wonderful day and plenty of good food. Happy anniversary, Jack and Sylvia. Hope you have many more.

Clifton and Judy Tucker, from Bella Vista, visited me one day last week. I'm always glad for them to come by.

Jack and Sylvia Tucker went to Vanzant's on Saturday and got us some Jonathan apples to make our apple pie mix.

Orpha Wardlaw's visitors last weekend were her daughter and family, Steve and Eva Rea Fincher and children Selena and Zack, from Tulsa. They attended church with her on Sunday.
