Benefit ride for band is planned for Oct. 3

GENTRY -- The second annual Pioneer Pride Run and Leg Quarter Dinners is set for Saturday, Oct. 3, at the city park, with proceeds going to benefit the Gentry Pioneer Pride Band.

The special event includes registration for the ride at 9 a.m. and kickstands up at 10 a.m. The benefit ride begins and ends at the Curran Pavilion in Gentry City Park, with riders back by 4:30 p.m.

A drawing for door prizes will be held at 4:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 5 p.m. The members of the Pioneer Pride Band will be introduced at 5 p.m. as well.

Approximately 100 dinners will be served. Cost for the dinners is $5 each. Cost to participate in the ride is $10 (which includes three door-prize tickets). Those purchasing a dinner and the ride for $15 will receive eight door-prize tickets. Those taking a rider may pay $25 for the ride and two dinners and receive 10 door-prize tickets. Door-prize tickets are $1 each or $5 for six.
