GRAVETTE -- Jordan Burnett rushed 30 times for 190 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winner with just over a minute left, to lead the Lions to a come-from-behind win over the Jay (Okla.) Bulldogs on Friday.

During the first half, it appeared as if the Lions would be dominated by the strong Bulldog offense and defense. The Lions were down, 13-0, at the end of the first quarter and scored their only touchdown of the half on a long pass in the second quarter. By the halftime buzzer, Gravette (2-1) trailed 20-7.

But during the second half, the Lions fought their way back, scoring three touchdowns and stopping the Bulldogs in their tracks, to claim the win in their final nonconference game of the season before opening 4A-1 Conference play next week at home against Lincoln.

Burnett scored a touchdown with just over 5 minutes left, to tie the game at 20-20. After Gravette came up with a defensive stop, the Lions gave the ball to their workhorse and Burnett broke off a 52-yard touchdown run with 1 minute, 20 seconds left, to cap the comeback.

The Lions defeated the Bulldogs, 27-20.
