GENTRY — The Lady Lions soundly defeated the Lady Pioneers on Sept. 22 in Gentry, winning in three straight sets, 25-17, 25-17 and 25-14.

Though the Gentry girls fought hard, they were unable to stop the kill shots of Shannon McKnight, Amanda and Stephanie Pinter and Misa Satchel. Dakota Webb and Haley Borgeteien-James pounded some in there for Gentry, but it wasn’t enough.

Scores were not available for the game against visiting Pea Ridge on Thursday, but Gentry lost its first set and was down in the second when the photographer had to leave.

In tournament play on Saturday, Gentry lost to Southwest, 25-17 and 25-11, and to Verona, 25-18 and 25-15.
