Decatur Schools express their thanks to all the parents who participated in the parent-teacher conferences. It is our belief that parent involvement is the number one issue that helps with student education. If the parents are involved in their child's education, those students will be more successful.

We would also like to thank all the teachers, administrators, students and board members who helped set up the conferences.

A special thank you to Rick Hickson, of Hickson & Sons Welding, for donating his time and grill to cook the hamburgers and hot dogs on at Decatur High School and Decatur Middle School. Rick graciously took his time to cook on Tuesday and Thursday for the conferences. Thursday happened to be his 21st wedding anniversary. It was very thoughtful of both he and his wife to celebrate their anniversary at a later time to help Decatur Schools out.

Thanks again to all stakeholders of Decatur Schools for making Decatur Schools what we are today!
