GENTRY -- The Lady Pioneers traveled to Green Forest on Thursday to play the Lady Tigers. Gentry was slow to get started in the game, scoring only four runs in the first four innings of play, but the score at the bottom of the fourth was 4-0, with Gentry leading.
The Lady Pioneers scored six more runs in the fifth inning, putting them at a total of 10. The Lady Tigers were able to get three runs on the board in the bottom of the sixth. The seventh inning was scoreless on both sides and Gentry defeated the Green Forest Lady Tigers, 10 to 3.
"Green Forest was good preparation for our last conference game against our rivals, the Gravette Lady Lions," said Alexis Droddy, a Gentry sophomore and right-fielder for the Lady Pioneers.
