Lady Pioneers dominate Lady Saints

— Mallory Morris scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Lady Pioneers to a big 62-33 win over the visiting Lady Saints on Feb. 2. The Gentry girls (15-5, 7-3 4A-1) jumped to a 21-7 lead in the second quarter and never looked back.

The Lady Pioneers dominated the Lady Saints on both sides and led 30-16 at halftime, with Morris stealing the ball, breaking away and hitting shots under the basket several times.

By the end of three, the Lady Pioneers were up by 21 points, 47-26. And in the final quarter, almost everyone on the bench had opportunity to play, with Gentry still adding another eight points to the team's lead.

Haley Borgeteien-James added 14 points for Gentry, most under the bucket. Veronica Adams scored 12 points to lead the Lady Saints (4-19, 2-9).
