Gravette, Berryville split games

GRAVETTE - The Lady Lions fell to the Lady Bobcats in Berryville on Tuesday, 57 to 49, with the Lady Bobcats dominating all but the third quarter.

Berryville jumped ahead in the first quarter and was up by seven, 25-18, at the half. The Lady Lions fought back and outscored the Lady Bobcats, 13-9, in the third and were within three-point striking distance by the end of the quarter; but the Berryville girls scored 23 to Gravette's 18 in the final quarter of the game for the win.

Tori Foster and Amanda Pinter each had 13 points in the game. Stephanie Pinter had 10.

On the boys' side, the Lions paid back a little retribution and defeated the Bobcats, 58 to 49, in the away game on Tuesday night.

The Lions grabbed an early lead and were up by nine at the end of the first quarter and by 20 at the half. Though the Bobcats outscored the Lions in the second half, it wasn't enough.

Jackson Soule' had a big night, with 27 points in the game. Trace Crawford had 10.
