Isn't Trump's quote from Two Corinthians assuring?

I see the Great Pretender has made his way down to Jerry Falwell's Liberty University where he promised to protect Christianity and, of course, he was able to set everyone there at ease by quoting from II Corinthians. Only, he pronounced it Two Corinthians instead of Second Corinthians, which really shocked me since I heard Donald himself say he goes to church on Easter. Upon hearing that, I was reassured of his commitment to protecting Christianity and of his love of the Scriptures, even if he doesn't know any verses personally.

And too, I am glad Mr. Trump doesn't pander to any special interest groups (Christian or otherwise) so he won't be beholden to them later on if he is elected. That way, once he is president, he can be his own man and throw his entire support toward things that really matter, like the beautiful process (his words) of "eminent domain" where, if you are a little old lady who loves her house and doesn't want to sell it for any price, the money guys or the government can come in and tear it down in order to build something bigger and, supposedly, better.

That is just one of the reasons Mr. Trump is doing so well in the polls -- because his positions are so reasonable and so well thought out. And remember, he is not a politician. So, I guess that means when Mr. Trump makes us a promise we can rest assured that he will keep it.

I think another reason he is doing well is the fact that he is the polar opposite of our current inimitable leader, Mr. Obama. And, let's face it, folks are fed up with this feckless president and his leaderless leadership style. So Donald promises us the moon, and the moon will be great, and the moon will be high, and the moon will be strong, and the moon will be blah, blah, blah, and, best of all, the Mexicans will pay for it. After all, Mr. Trump is the very epitome of pragmatism -- he knows they are just a bunch of rapists and murderers, but their money is good with him.

And it isn't a question of all of us making America great again, no, no, no, it is the Donald who will make it great again. We won't have to do anything but vote for him and he will take care of the rest -- a sort of automatic greatness. Isn't that appealing? I have to pinch myself sometimes to make sure I'm not dreaming.

On a personal level, I like the fact that Mr. Trump is emotionally secure and isn't affected by such trifling things as flattery from foreign leaders and so forth. That way he can stand up to the Putins of the world with unwavering resolve. I also appreciate that he doesn't have to constantly refer to his vast wealth or to his intelligence or to his ability to cut deals. I can't stand it when politicians are so insecure that they have to keep reminding us of how great they are.

And I am so glad that Mr. Trump isn't nasty like Ted Cruz -- that Mr. Trump knows how to get along with everyone -- that he is well-liked and doesn't do weird stuff that makes people question his sanity. I mean, doesn't it warm your heart to hear Mr. Trump order his people to confiscate the coats of protesters at his political rallies before they throw them out because it is cold outside? Don't those protesters realize it is un-American to protest at a political rally?

And isn't it great that even though Mr. Trump used to be a liberal Democrat who supported partial-birth abortion and contributed to Planned Parenthood and called for increased spending for those folks, that he is now a true conservative who wants to dismantle Obamacare. And we really shouldn't be concerned with what Mr. Trump wants to replace it with, even if it looks almost exactly like the plan that avowed socialist and Democrat candidate Bernie Sanders is proposing. We shouldn't worry about those kind of details simply because the devil isn't in them -- Mr. Trump is. Isn't that nice?

And isn't it wonderful that Mr. Trump is such a nice guy that he contributed $100,000.00 to the Clinton Foundation and $50,000.00 to Rahm Emmanuel's Democrat race for mayor of Chicago? Or that he once called for more gun control, but has since changed his mind and supports the Second Amendment? Or maybe it's Two Amendment, but we all know what he means. You see, it is very important to take Mr. Trump for what he says, not for what he once said. If you can do that, then everything else falls into place and there is harmony in the Universe. And best of all, Mexico will pay for it.
