— The 103rd annual Freedom Festival in Gentry on Monday, July 4th, indeed concluded with a bang as fireworks lit up the sky behind Old Glory in the city park

It was the moment everyone had been waiting for and the reason many came out to Gentry on Monday. When Barrett Baber concluded his concert before a packed outdoor arena, all eyes in the park looked to the west. And no one was disappointed -- except, maybe, when it was over.

This year's fireworks display, sponsored by McKee Foods, was bigger and better than ever. The crowds which filled the park from one end to the other clapped and let out "oohs" and "aahs" as the colors filled the sky.
