DECATUR -- The Decatur Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for the 63rd Annual Decatur Barbecue's Tiny Tots and Miss Decatur Barbecue pageants to be held at Veterans Park in Decatur Aug. 6.
The Tiny Tots pageant is open to boys and girls, ages 4-6. Entry fee for this event is $10.
A copy of the child's birth certificate or birth records and a wallet size photo are required for registration. All photos will be returned.
Each participant is expected to ride on the Tiny Tots float during the Decatur Barbecue parade. The child should be at the parade lineup area by 10:35 a.m. The parade starts at 11 a.m.
Dress for both the parade and pageant is casual summer wear. No suits or heavy dresses should be worn since the temperatures are expected to be between the upper 80s to near 100 degrees.

Miss Decatur Barbecue
The Miss Decatur Barbecue pageant is now taking applications for its contest at Veterans Park in Decatur Aug.6. The pageant is open to girls, ages 15-19. Contestants will compete in three categories, which include interview, casual wear and evening wear. The winner receives a $500 scholarship, flowers, sash and crown. First runner up receives a $200 scholarship and flowers.
The application fee is $25, and the deadline to turn in applications is Aug. 1.
