Letter to the Editor

Editor,

This letter is written in response to the article: "Gentry told to cancel prayers at certain local ceremonies," printed in Westside Eagle Observer on June 29. In the July 7 issue of the same paper, a letter from Patricia Kinser was printed. Having read both the original article and Ms. Kinser's letter, I want to share my thoughts with the Gentry Board of Education. First, she quotes the First Amendment correctly -- no federal-mandated religion. That is why the Pilgrims left England and why Americans are free to choose, or not, the religious practices they prefer.

Second, as a practicing Christian, I have studied the Holy Bible and conclude that the FFRF is symbolic of the antichrist. This is anyone who denies that God created us, that Jesus Christ came to earth to grant us grace and to be a direct channel to God the father.

I John 4:3 states "And every spirit that confesses NOT that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is NOT (my emphasis) of GOD and this is the spirit of antichrist...." The New Testament, starting with Matthew and concluding with Revelation, clearly points out that there were such nonbelievers in the first Century A.D. and that they are among us today. Any reading of 1, 2 and 3 John makes this statement abundantly clear. Doesn't that sound like FFRF?

And what are we to do about them? Matthew 4:10 is clear and concise: "Get thee hence Satan, for it is written 'Thou shall worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve." Why don't we pray that FFRF might see the light and find some other worthy task to perform rather than try to keep us from prayer to our Creator, the Lord God Almighty, in any and all occasions!

It is my fervent hope that the Gentry School Board will respond to FFRF, asking them to mind their own business, or that they might find God to lead them in a more Christian endeavor.

Sincerely, and in Christian Love,

Robert E. Moore

Dear Patricia Kinser.

God bless you, Patricia, for what you said in the Westside Observer this week.

We are not living under Obama Law, we are living one nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all. We will not bend to his laws. We are a free country and don't let anybody tell you that God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Ghost is not in control of this U.S.A.

We have the freedom of speech here in the U.S.A. and let's stand proud and true to Arkansas, U.S.A. Let's not bow down to nobody but God our Father.

You need to print the Gettysburg Address out of a history book or wherever it was written.

Wake up, Stand up, Speak up. Stand up for God's ways, or you won't go up in the rapture that could come at any time.
