GRAVETTE -- Tickets are on sale now for the fourth annual Gravette library gala, scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 6. The gala will be held in the Barn at The Cabins at Big Springs, 14600 Beaty Road.

Food for the evening will be provided by noted Cherokee caterer, Mike Shotpouch. The hog fry menu will feature fried pork with all the trimmings, including fried potatoes, brown beans and frybread. Desserts of sheet cakes and fruit cobblers will be provided by The GoodyShack bakery.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Trey O'Dell, a singer-songwriter from Fayetteville and a finalist on season 10 of NBC's singing competition show, "The Voice." O'Dell, a student at the University of Arkansas, returned to northwest Arkansas to perform as opening act at the Springtime of Youth music festival at the Washington County Fairgrounds in late April.

Known for his tone and ability to deliver a lyric, Trey has been performing around northwest Arkansas since 2013. He has opened for Backroad Anthem, Boom Kinetic and Barrett Baber and entertained at a variety of Greek events. He has often sung the National Anthem at Razorback sporting events and last year in Kansas City at a Sporting KC soccer game.

O'Dell has loved performing since he was a kid. He entered a talent show as an Elvis impersonator when he was only 1 1/2, singing "Blue Suede Shoes." As an Elvis lover, he especially enjoyed recording "That's All Right, Mama" at the legendary Sun Studios in 2014. He believes that an appreciation for the past is essential to growing as an artist and developing his own sound.

Another feature of the evening will be a live auction conducted by David Barber, of Barber Auction Services in Sulphur Springs. Gala guests will have the opportunity to bid on a number of high quality items donated by area businesses. Auction items include designer sunglasses, collectible coins, an 8 oz. bar of silver, a La-Z-Boy ottoman, a Daisy BB gun, old LP albums, a framed Steve Huckriede print, a Crescent Hotel stay and tickets to such attractions as Turpentine Creek, Silver Dollar City, Grand Country Music Hall, the Branson Belle Showboat, Branson's Butterfly Palace and the Muskogee and Kansas City Renaissance festivals.

Tickets, available for $25 each or $150 for a table of eight, may be purchased at the Gravette Public Library, Arvest Bank, Bank of Gravett and city hall. All proceeds will benefit library programs and activities.
