GENTRY -- The farmers' market in Gentry is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at the south side of Gentry City Park in the parking area (along Arkansas Highway 12), and a number of local farmers and makers of arts and crafts have been set up there, offering local residents fresh fruits and vegetables and a variety of craft items and works of art.

The market offers only locally-grown produce, and arts and crafts must be made locally as well. On Thursday, one vendor had tables full of fresh produce. Another offered a variety of home decor items she had made, including birdhouses and lamps. Another offered items she had crocheted, along with jewellery made by her granddaughter.

Farmers may set up between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursdays, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
