GRAVETTE -- Gravette Kiwanis Club met Friday, May 13, and announced the winners of the scholarships the club manages. Rachel Jones was winner of the Al Kuettner Scholarship and Jaye Chalk was winner of the Corey Mosier Scholarship.
New officers elected for the coming year are Lavon Stark, president; Jay Chalk, vice-president; Brenda Yates, secretary; and Malcom Winters, treasurer.
The program was given by Greg Barber, mayor of Sulphur Springs. He shared the history of the town and its goals for the future. Several grants have been awarded to help update the town.
