WESTSIDE -- Siloam Springs Regional Hospital has welcomed Rebecca Pearrow as the new director of marketing and business development for the organization.

"Rebecca joins the hospital team following many years of experience in healthcare service and hospital management," said Patrick Kerrwood, chief executive officer at SSRH. "We feel positive that she will be an asset to the hospital, serving as an extension into the community so we can have clear lines of communication with those we serve."

"After 17 years of experience in hospital work, I feel like I have built a strong skill set for healthcare management," Pearrow said. "From bedside care as a therapist to business development, my desire is to bring administrative abilites that lead to successful operational outcomes at SSRH. I have a unique perspective on patients as consumers since I spent many years serving in the clinical capacity for both behavioral health and inpatient rehab services. I approach things through the eyes of the patient."

Her educational background includes an associate of arts degree from Central Baptist College, followed by a bachelor of science degree from Arkansas Tech University. She completed a master's in business administration degree from Harding University in 2014.

Pearrow relocated to Siloam Springs from Newport, where she was director of marketing at Harris Hospital for the past four years. Achievements during that time include winning the 2013 Manager of the Year Award, membership in the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society, being an Arkansas Hospital Association Diamond Award winner and serving as vice president of the Newport Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Arkansas Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations.

Pearrow said she is excited to be living in Northwest Arkansas.

"I love this area and can't wait to get involved," Pearrow said. "Theodore Roosevelt said, 'Nobody cares how much you know, until they know how much you care,' and I care about the patients we serve at SSRH as well as the community as a whole. I want to become immersed in the culture here so I can best understand how to meet the needs of healthcare consumers in our area."
