— "Kids' Free Fun Day" drew a good number of visitors to the parking area between the Gentry Medical Clinic and Smith Drug on Saturday.

Gentry police and fire departments were there, showing their equipment, offering safety tips and fingerprinting children.

Children enjoyed a variety of games and contests, including an inflatable slide and a dunking tank at which the clinic's doctors and staff took their turns on the stool and were often dropped into the water.

Music was provided and a variety of refreshments were served.

The event provided an opportunity for Gentry residents, young and old, to meet the staff of the medical clinic in a less intimidating environment than in the exam room.
