GRAVETTE -- A new grocery store is coming to Gravette. This information was released last Friday by Kurt Maddox, Gravette mayor, who said CV Family Foods, a Van Buren-based grocery retailer, had announced its intention to open a new store, built from the ground up. The store will be located at 101 Atlanta Street, S.E., the site of the former Marvin's Grocery store. Construction is slated to begin in the next few weeks with a target opening date before the end of 2016.
Chuck Combs, president of CV Family Foods, said, "We are excited to move forward with this project. We just don't know yet which floor plan we will use. Our builder and district manager are shooting elevations today and will know more after reviewing the findings. We will have further details within a week or two."
Maddox said all indications are that this CV Family Foods will feature a full service deli, butcher shop and fresh produce, as well as a wide variety of general grocery items.
CV Family Foods operates more than 32 stores throughout Northwest Arkansas, Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma.
