GRAVETTE -- Jonah Waits, of Gravette, was chosen Youth of the Year for the Boys and Girls Club of Gravette. He was honored at the Youth of the Year Banquet held Feb. 23 at the Gravette Unit.

Jonah is the son of Jennifer and David Mussen of Gravette. He was born in Arizona.

Jonah was chosen Youth of the Month in June. He was honored at the annual banquet and given a Youth of the Year plaque and a bag of prizes.

Jonah was featured in the spring issue of the Boys and Girls Club of Western Benton County newsletter. The article read, "Jonah Waits stepped it up this year. This summer he was always willing to help with whatever needed to be done, even if that included taking out the trash. He came up with the idea to repaint the front desk and repainted it. He spent a good part of the summer repainting areas at the club. The leadership he showed, with a positive attitude and being helpful around the Club is why he was chosen as Youth of the Year."
