GENTRY -- Zac Adkins, a Gentry senior, signed a letter of intent on May 3 to attend Lyon College in Batesville and play baseball.

Adkins played baseball and football for the Gentry Pioneers and was an all-conference baseball player this spring. Adkins was awarded a scholarship to attend Lyon College.

"Zac is one of the hardest working kids I have ever met and is a true testament to what Gentry baseball is all about," said Justin Ledbetter, Gentry High School's head baseball coach. "Zac will not only represent the school and community of Gentry in a positive way, but is a kid that will flourish at the next level. I couldn't be more proud of him!"

Lyon College, affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), was founded in 1872 and is an undergraduate liberal arts college with an enrollment of nearly 700 students.
