Teeds to celebrate 50th

Fred and Violet (Witt) Teed will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a reception and open house to be hosted by their children from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, at the Sac Osage Electric Coop Community Room, 4815 E. Hwy. 54, El Dorado Springs, Mo. No gifts are requested other than the pleasure of your company.

As teenagers, Fred and Violet attended Gravette Holiness Bible School, where they met and fell in love. They later taught at GHBS, and Violet also taught for many years at Christian schools in Fort Scott, Kan, and in El Dorado Springs, Mo. In addition to working as a farmer, Fred was an employee at Witt Printing for more than 40 years.

Fred and Violet were married at the Blackjack Church of God (Holiness) on June 4, 1966, and are still an active part of that church community. They have three children, Janice and Scott Black of Boise, Idaho; Maritza and Gary Jennings of Fairbanks, Alaska; and Rick and Melinda Teed of Kalispell, Mont. They have four grandchildren, Eli, Spencer and Maritza Black, and Melissa Hilchie.
